I am releasing my new short story The Happy Seat today giving it away absolutely FREE for the first day only.
As is always the case when I give my work away for free, I ask only that you share this post on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, or wherever you typically share such things. I don’t like to give my writing away for free, but when I take a day to do it, I like to give out as many as possible.
I’m hoping to give away 1,000 copies in 24 hours, so anything you can do to help me is appreciated.
And please, please leave a review on Amazon after you read it, even it’s only a couple sentences. You have no idea how much help one review can be.
The Happy Seat is the first story in the 7 Love Stories Without Happy Endings compilation I’m working on this year. Here is the official product description from Amazon:
“A short story about Valentine’s Day, young love, and executing the mentally handicapped.”
In this sadistic comedy about capital punishment and being in love for the first time, a postman with a thousand mental defects faces death in the electric chair over a murder he committed to win the heart of his therapist. As preparations are made for his execution on Valentine’s Day, he recalls the events two years prior when his true love betrayed him and he was locked away in the “people zoo.”
The Happy Seat is the antithesis of conventional romantic comedy, a bitter and cynical satire full of anger, sorrow, and loss.
This 6,000 word short story includes a free preview for the novel One-Night Stan’s, also by Greg Sisco.
Once again, you can get your copy from Amazon here, FREE today only. Please share this page to help me give away 1,000 by midnight.
Thanks to my friend Cody Sims of CodysStuff.com for helping me with the cover.
