Cover Reveal for the New Edition of "In Nightmares We're Alone"
My favorite of my novels is getting a fresh coat of paint
As people who follow me on Facebook or Instagram may have heard, my novel In Nightmares We’re Alone is about to change hands. Off Limits Press, the publisher that has handled the second edition, is sadly closing its doors at the end of May, at which point I will self-publish a new, third edition.
The third edition comes with brand new cover art, courtesy of Jeffrey Kosh Graphics (who also did the art for the first edition). Here is your first look:
In Nightmares We’re Alone is composed of three interconnected horror stories that blur the line between “novel” and “collection”. Here is the official plot description:
Each nightmare is unique. All nightmares are the same. Three interwoven tales of terror form a collage of otherworldly horrors over the course of two weeks in one quiet town.
First, in Good Little Dolly, a young girl finds herself stalked by the hypnotic eyes of her mother’s new doll.
Then, in Growth, a womanizing con artist can no longer contain the plants that sprout from his fingernails.
Finally, a bitter woman is haunted by the cryptic messages on her dead father’s typewriter in That Thing We Don't Quite See.
The book was originally self-published in 2015, then rereleased by Off Limits Press in 2021 with revised and improved text. The third edition includes the same improved text as in 2021, but with new cover art.
The second edition, from Off Limits Press, is still available through the end of May and can be ordered here, so if you love the second edition’s cover and always wanted it on your shelf, get it now or forever hold your peace. If the cover for the upcoming third edition is the one you love, keep an eye out on approximately June 1st (there may be a couple days of unavailability as we get everything changed over, but it shouldn’t take long).
I have a few other projects in the works for the second half of this year, and I look forward to announcing them on this site soon, but for the time being, I hope this small announcement is exciting to someone.
